JAPAN, 6 – 7 March
JAPAN MARKET INFORMATION
Japan is the 3rd largest economy in the world and the 2nd largest in Asia, with a population 125 million people out of which almost 40 million are located in the greater Tokyo area. Denmark, in Japan, is known as a quality supplier of high-end food products across a broad product range aimed at both industrial and consumer segments. A Danish origin is a quality label in itself and Danish food products are known for their high-quality including food safety, traceability, uniform products and much more. Demand is expected to grow in particular in response to the re-opening of the market following covid-19 and expected influx of foreign tourist. Add to this an increasing focus in Japan on sustainability where Denmark has a number of advantages compared to most of our competitors. Denmark has a significant and growing export to Japan of pig meat, dairy products but also beef and increasingly also processed consumer ready goods as well as organic products.
During the visit you will also be able to join the Minister at the largest food trade show in the region named FOODEX (March 7th to 10th) which also offers you a good opportunity to see what is going on in the market and meet potential new partners.
