Now online participation possible: Export Opportunities Through Digital Sales in Asia for Danish Food Companies, 21 March 2023

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council, The Trade Council of Denmark, and Food Nation Denmark, are happy to invite you to the event “Export Opportunities Through Digital Sales in Asia for Danish Food Companies”.

Registration deadline for onsite participation: 13 March 2023
Registration deadline for online participation: 19 March 2023

The event is relevant for food FMCG companies that want to hear more about the attractive opportunities for export and digital sales in the two promising Asian markets.

The continent of Asia is a distant market and often a region that is too far to grasp for many Danish companies. If you are one of those, then you are missing out.

Clear your calendar on Tuesday 21 March at 10 am, where The Danish Agriculture & Food Council will open its doors at Axelborg, where you can learn how to access the enormous market opportunities in Asia and the Middle East. You will hear about:

  • Opportunities in the newly reopened China.
  • Opportunities in The United Arab Emirates and the GCC countries.

China is the 3rd biggest export market for the Danish food cluster, with the biggest export groups being pork, dairy and fish. Food sales in China are also booming and digital sales platforms like and Alibaba are getting more and more crucial. By 2024, the Chinese e-commerce market for overseas FMCG brands is expected to grow to 426 billion yuan. TC China has significant experience working within this segment and will present our experiences with digital sales opportunities in the era of the newly opened China.

11:30-12:00   Market opportunities in The United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is the trading hub in the Middle East. It is not only ranked high on the ease of doing business index and on the food security index and has the second highest internet user rate in the world, but it is also importing 90% of their food - this is a country that you want to focus on. With 85% foreigners, there are unlimited food market opportunities, and the UAE is a gateway to major nearby markets, such as Saudi Arabia.
