Take part in the 2023 Fact Finding trip to Denmark from October 9-13, 2023
Join a number of US and Canadian stakeholders and help shape the future of waste management and biogas in North America.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?
Danish companies within waste management (municipal, commercial, agricultural) and biogas production, including:
- Biogas project developers
- Owners/operators of centralized and on-farm systems
- Providers of upgrading technology
- Feedstock and inventory management systems
- Equipment for feedstock handling
- Odor control and abatement equipment
- Feedstock pre-treatment systems
- Organic waste management and processing technologies
PROGRAM
We have created an exciting program for the week, which includes:
- On-site tours at Danish farms and biogas plants.
- Presentations by innovative technology suppliers.
- Insights from experts from both the public and private sector on smart agriculture, biogas and waste management in Denmark.
- Interactive discussions on how these approaches can be implemented in North America.
The final program is to be confirmed and will depend on the participating companies.

Importantly, the trip will include valuable opportunities to strengthen your professional network within the industry, connect with key stakeholders and technology providers, and share knowledge and solutions among participants as well as facilitate professional discussions among all participants. There will be a particular focus on showcasing technologies that are proven at scale in their home market and are “ready to roll” in the US and Canada. A proposed preliminary program can be found below.
PRICE
The total price for participation in this Fact Finding trip to Denmark is DKK 8,850 for one representative per company. Price for an extra participant is DKK 1,200 (max one). (Price may change depending on the number of participants).
NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoice will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.
We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price should any of the above criteria’s change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at own expense including visa, flights, dine & drink and hotel.
NOTE: The price is based on 8 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark.
If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 1,5 mio. DKK in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present) you are binding yourself to pay the full price, meaning without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.
