Organic Export promotion to Tokyo, Japan 2023 - November 3rd – 7th

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council invites you to join the organic export promotion to Japan, Tokyo, in occasion of the festival Danish Days in Daikanyama. The export promotion targets buyers from Japanese retail and Japanese consumers.

The festival Danish Days in Daikanyama will take place in the Danish Embassy’s courtyard for the first two days. Here there will be open access for Japanese consumers and buyers are invited in. Each company will have an individual stand where they can showcase their products and get a feeling of how Japanese consumers welcome it.

Furthermore, open-air events will take place during the festival.

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council along with the Danish Embassy in Japan executed the event in November 2022 with great success. More than 8.000 Japanese visitors visited the courtyard during the first two days, more than 50 B2B contacts were participating in B2B events, and dedicated buyer meetings and presentations from Costco and Bio C’ Bon are just some of the highlights from last year. In total 10 organic companies and 12 conventional companies participated making it the biggest Danish food export promotion to Japan ever and we plan to repeat the success. 

The promotion will ensure a Danish setup tailored towards the Japanese market and contacts to retail buyers in connection with Danish Days in Daikanyama at the Danish Embassy’s courtyard. Get in touch with relevant stakeholders and have a dialogue on how your company should adapt your product(s) to the Japanese market.

By joining this delegation you will receive:

• A stand with product display and graphics at the Embassy’s courtyard. Samplings and/or selling of your product is possible. Sampling are necessary for the B2B meetings
• An expected attendance of 8.000 Japanese consumers/businesspeople at the festival
• 1:1 meetings with a minimum of 2 different buyers at your stand/at B2B events
• Further Japanese food distributors/wholesalers are invited (more than 50 in 2022)
• Seminar on organic restriction in Japan and how to operate.
• Seminar on Japan and the Japanese market for organic food
• 30 minutes on stage – you can organize storytelling, tasting event, workshop/masterclasses with your products highlighted
• Exclusive networking events at the Residence of the Danish Ambassador with your products on the buffet
• Networking with other Danish companies already present in the Japanese market
• 2 days of Danish Days in Daikanyama festival open to the public
