Tap into Business Opportunities in the Mexican Poultry Industry

By joining our business delegation to Mexico, taking place 25-29 June 2023, you will be able to meet, visit and engage with important Mexican poultry producers and obtain valuable insights about the sector.

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO DO BUSINESS WITH MEXICAN POULTRY PRODUCERS
The Embassy of Denmark in Mexico, the Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC), the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), and EKF Denmark's Export Credit Agency are honoured to invite Danish companies to join this business delegation to Mexico.

The delegation programme will allow Danish companies providing solutions and products within the poultry value chain to become exposed to and meet with a number of important Mexican poultry producing companies.

WHY JOIN?
Mexico, with its 130 million people, is the 15th largest economy in the world and is continuously growing. It is the largest egg consuming country worldwide, with an average 24 kg per year per capita. Similarly, chicken consumption has been on the rise, as well as imports of chicken meat. In 2021, Mexico produced 3,7 mio. tons of chicken and imported close to 400 tons of meat. This delegation offers a unique opportunity to meet, network and do B2B meetings with important key companies and producers in Mexico. Denmark, Danish companies, technology, know-how and final products within the poultry sector represent a strong brand in Mexico already, and this is an opportunity to further develop your business.

WHO SHOULD JOIN?
The delegation is open to companies which supply products and solutions that can help to handle food safety, biosecurity (e.g. salmonella), and sustainability/efficiency matters along the poultry value chain. This includes companies within farming technology, processing technology, feed, genetics, hygiene, management, etc. Also, producers of poultry meat products and hatchery eggs would benefit from participating, as there is a demand from Mexican producers of these products.

Companies which are either looking into new business development opportunities or are already present or want to expand in Mexico within the poultry segment will be able to tap into the potentials of this market initiative.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
The delegation programme is still under development, and is expected to take place across 5 days, including meetings with important Mexican poultry producing companies covering both primary production and processing and located in/around Mexico City as well as the states of Guanajuato and Querétaro. This might include companies such as Bachoco, Avigrupo, Pilgrims, etc. Meetings would contain general sessions and/or direct B2B sessions with the individual Danish participating companies. There would likely also be a networking event with the Mexican national producer association and other relevant local stakeholders. Furthermore, it would be possible to obtain exposure through the LATAM online poultry platform available for Danish producers.

WHAT IS THE PRICE?
Participation in the delegation programme is DKK 9,000 (excluding VAT) for one Danish company representative. This includes a 75% Brexit subsidy by The Trade Council, as this event is subject to the Brexit support schemes of the council. An extra company representative will cost DKK 3,000 excl. VAT.

Note: The price is based on 7 participating companies (of which 3 are SME’s), an expected 75% Brexit subsidy from the Trade Council of Denmark and fulfilment of the associated de minimis rules and Brexit impact requirements. The invoice will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address. We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price should any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at own cost, including own transportation, accommodation, dine & drink, and VAT.
