Following a successful pig farming delegation to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, in November 2023 and a successful dairy delegation to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, in May 2024, the Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC) and the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing invite you to participate in an incoming pig and dairy delegation from China to Denmark. The focus areas of this delegation will incl. the pig farming and dairy value chain and targeted towards Chinese companies from all across China incl. but not limited to e.g. Sichuan and Inner Mongolia. By 2022, there were 2,763 companies in Sichuan specialized in pig related business, and with a total provincial production output of 65.48 million heads Sichuan ranks as the No. 1 position at national level. Some of these scaled pig producers cover the entire value chain: from genetics, feed, farm design, stable equipment, farm management, slaughtering and consumer products. Similarly, Inner Mongolia ranks as the No. 1 position at national level in terms of dairy production with the majority of the largest companies located here. Key challenges for the two sectors in China are on how to improve production efficiency, how to lower production costs, and how to produce in a more sustainable way. The delegation is organized to showcase Danish strongholds, shine light on Danish solutions in pig and dairy production, further strengthen the knowledge of Danish company solutions and to establish interaction between Danish and Chinese companies.

Programme 25-27 November 2024
The Chinese delegates will arrive in Denmark on Monday 25 November. The program will start in Herning on Tuesday morning 26 November and finish late Wednesday evening on 27 November. The program will include the below activities. The final program is to be confirmed and will depend on the participating companies.
Monday, 25 November 2024 in Denmark
- Arrival of Chinese companies in Denmark.
- Informal get-together by the Danish company representatives.
Tuesday, 26 November 2024 in Herning (Day 1)
- Programme introduction by the Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou and the DAFC.
- Introduction meeting on the Danish pig and dairy sectors with industry organisation representatives.
- Tailored B2B session between the delegation and Chinese companies.
- Welcome speech by Mathias Sandholt Knauf, Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
- Presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
- Presentations by and introductions to the Chinese companies. - Separate B2B interactions between the companies.
- Visits to the exhibition booths of the Danish companies.
- Grand opening dinner at the Agromek Exhibition where a delicious dinner will be served during which there will be music and entertainment.
Wednesday, 27 November 2024 in Herning and surrounding area (Day 2)
- Company + site visit 1 to one of the Danish companies.
- Company + site visit 2 to one of the Danish companies.
- Company + site visit 3 to one of the Danish companies.
- Networking dinner between the Danish and Chinese companies at a local restaurant close to Herning.

Price
The total price for participation in the Chinese business delegation to Denmark is 7,000 DKK excl. transport, hotel, and VAT per company for one representative after deduction of 50% subsidy from The Trade Council. The price for an extra representative is 3,000 DKK per person.
NOTE: An additional price of 800 DKK will be added per person for company representatives who wish to participate in the Grand Opening Dinner at Agromek.
NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.
We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.
NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.
