Sustainable Dairy Production Delegation to China

Hohhot (Inner Mongolia), from 13-16 May 2024

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC) and the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing invite you to participate in an export delegation to China with a focus on sustainable dairy production. The delegation visit will take place in and around the city of Hohhot in Inner Mongolia. The six northern provinces of Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Hebei, Shandong, Xinjiang and Henan account for nearly 66% of the total Chinese fresh milk production. Inner Mongolia is ranked as the No. 1 producer with an annual output of 6 million tons of milk. The top 3 dairy companies in China (Yili, Mengniu and Shengmu) are all located in Inner Mongolia, and the province therefore provides good commercial opportunities for Danish companies with products and solutions along the dairy value chain. Although China already has a significant dairy production, it is estimated that both the Chinese production and consumption of dairy products will continue to grow. In terms of production, there is also a strong Chinese focus on continuous improvement of production efficiencies and lowering of production costs. Denmark is well positioned to offer both solutions and products to the Chinese dairy industry, and the delegation visit will give the participating companies an opportunity to present their products and solutions directly to the Chinese dairy industry.

Who should join?

  • Dairy breeding and genetics.
