Danish Food and Beverage Delegation to the UAE

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC) and the Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai invite you to participate in an export delegation to the United Arab Emirates focusing on Danish food and beverages.

With a population of about 10 million people, with a majority of expatriates, the UAE boasts a multicultural consumer base, high incomes, and a business-friendly environment, making the UAE an attractive hub for especially F&B. As of 2023, the UAE's GDP exceeds $500 billion, making it one of the wealthiest nations in the region. The UAE’s large expatriate population, with varied cultural backgrounds, drives demand for a wide range of FMCG products, pushing companies to cater to different tastes. As a global tourism and business hub, the UAE attracts millions of visitors, boosting the demand, particularly in F&B. The expanding retail sector, with malls, hypermarkets, and convenience stores supports this growth, and there is a unique opportunity for Danish companies within the HORECA. The e-commerce market has surged, especially post-pandemic, with consumers increasingly opting to buy online. With rising incomes, consumers are favoring health-conscious products with growing demand for organic food and plant-based. Sustainability is becoming more important with consumers looking for eco-friendly products and sustainable packaging. Monday, 20 October 2025 in Dubai (Day 1)

• Arrival in Dubai.
• Briefing by the DAFC and informal get-together by company representatives in the afternoon/evening.

Tuesday, 21 October 2025 in Dubai (Day 2)

• Programme introduction by the Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai.
• Meeting with representatives from relevant industry organizations and/or authorities.
• Tailored “Meet the Buyers” event between the Danish delegation and UAE customers.
  - Tables with product displays and brochures.
  - Welcome speech by the Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai.
  - Welcome remarks by the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
  - Short pitch introductions by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  - Presentations by and introductions to the UAE companies.
• Networking reception with participation of UAE customers, distributors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Opportunity for each Danish company to invite up to 3 guests for the networking reception.

Wednesday, 22 October 2025 in Dubai or Abu Dhabi (Day 3)

• Company visit 1 to a major player within the F&B industry in the UAE (to be based on the group of companies).
  - Pitch presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
• Company visit 2 to a major player within the F&B industry in the UAE (to be based on the group of companies).
  - Pitch presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
• Company visit 3 to a major player within the F&B industry in the UAE (to be based on the group of companies).
  - Pitch presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.

Thursday, 23 October 2025 in Dubai or Abu Dhabi (Day 4)

• Site visit and meeting with a local supermarket chain in the UAE.
• Site visit and meeting with a local F&B producer in the UAE.
• Recap and end of programme by the Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai and the DAFC.
• Available time to continue individual meetings with potential clients in the evening.

Price

The total price for participation in the export delegation to the UAE is 18,300 DKK excl. transport, hotel, and VAT per company for one representative after deduction of 50% subsidy from The Trade Council. The price for an extra representative is 3,000 DKK per person.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.

• Meet the Buyers event with identified potential customers and stakeholders.
• Transportation in the UAE throughout the entire programme (excluding flights).
• Networking reception with identified customers and stakeholders.
• Opportunity for each participating company to invite up to 3 guests for the “Meet the Buyers” event and networking reception.
• General assistance from the Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
