Sustainable Agriculture and Food Delegation to Cairo, Egypt

The Embassy of Denmark in Cairo and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC) invite you to participate in an export delegation to Egypt focusing on Danish solutions along the value chain for agriculture and food production. With around 104 million people with an average age of 24, Egypt is the largest consumer goods market in the Middle East. The demand for food products is high and expected to rise in the coming years due to recent series of economic reforms. The market for efficient agri-food production solutions and high-quality food products is growing in Egypt and the local companies are constantly on the lookout for new technologies that can enhance production efficiencies along the value chain. All these factors boost the need for imported high valued solutions where Denmark is a potential partner. The delegation contributes to Egypt Development Strategy 2030 within the relevant sectors especially concerning food and food safety, creating jobs and meeting market demand. The Danish Agriculture & Food Council and the  Embassy of Denmark in Cairo are therefore planning a delegation to Egypt to maximize and explore your business opportunities in the market and to promote Danish equipment, efficiency solutions, knowhow and high-quality food products in Egypt.

• Briefing by the DAFC and informal get-together by company representatives.

Tuesday, 16 September 2025 in Cairo (Day 2)

• Programme introduction by the Embassy of Denmark in Egypt.
• Meeting with representatives from relevant Egyptian authorities.
• Tailored B2B seminar session between the Danish delegation and Egyptian companies.
  - Welcome speech by the Embassy of Denmark in Egypt.
  - Welcome remarks by the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
  - Presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  - Presentations by and introductions to the Egyptian companies.
• Refreshments for seminar participants.
• Separate B2B interactions between the companies.
• Opportunity to continue individual meetings in the evening.

Wednesday, 17 September 2025 in Cairo (Day 3)

• Company visit 1 to a major player within agriculture and food production in Egypt (to be based on the group of companies).
  - Pitch presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
• Company visit 2 to a major player within agriculture and food production in Egypt (to be based on the group of companies).
  - Pitch presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.

• Networking reception at the Ambassador´s Residence including participation of Egyptian customers, stakeholders, and potential partners.
• Opportunity for each Danish company to invite up to 3 guests for the networking reception.

Thursday, 18 September 2025 in Cairo (Day 4)

• Site visit and meeting with a local dairy company or farm near Cairo.
• Site visit and meetings with a second company to be based on input from the Danish companies.
• Recap and end of programme by the Danish Embassy and the DAFC.

Price

The total price for participation in the export delegation to Cairo (Egypt) is 17,000 DKK excl. transport, hotel, and VAT per company for one representative after deduction of 50% subsidy from The Trade Council. The price for an extra representative is 3,000 DKK per person.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.

• Transportation in Egypt throughout the entire programme (excluding flights).
• Seminar with identified potential customers and stakeholders.
• Networking reception at the Ambassador´s Residence with identified potential Egyptian customers, authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
• Opportunity for each company to invite up to 3 guests for the seminar and networking reception.
• General assistance from the Danish Embassy and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
