Fact Finding Trip to Denmark - US and Canadian Stakeholders

Waste Management & Biogas

Take part in the 2025 Fact Finding Trip to Denmark from US and Canadian Stakeholders from 7-12 September 2025.

This year’s delegation will gather representatives from project developers, EPCs, and utility companies across North America for a week-long visit to Denmark, featuring site tours and in-depth exchanges with regulators and industry actors. For Danish companies operating within the biogas value chain, this is a unique chance to boost sales efforts and build a strong network.

With the North American biogas sector still estimated to be only 15% developed—and with supportive policies in place at federal, state, and local levels—market potential remains significant. Danish technologies and know-how continue to be highly regarded by industry professionals throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Whether you’re entering the North American market for the first time or looking to deepen an existing network, the 2025 Waste Management & Biogas Delegation is the right place to start.

Who should participate?

Danish companies within waste management (municipal, commercial, agricultural) and biogas production, including:

  • Biogas project developers
  • Technology providers for biogas upgrading
  • Gas cleaning providers
  • Tank stirring systems
  • Sensor manufacturers
  • Software providers
  • Feedstock and inventory management systems
  • Feedstock pre-treatment systems
  • Engineering and design specialists
  • Financiers and investors
  • Other companies aiming to connect with North American stakeholders in the field.

Your benefits from participating

By participating in the delegation, Danish companies will have the opportunity to:

  • Connect and network directly with key US and Canadian stakeholders from the waste management and biogas value chains, creating the basis for profitable, mutually beneficial partnerships in the future.
  • Showcase your solutions and how they contribute to Denmark’s global leadership in biogas and biomethane production—and how it can accelerate progress in North America
  • Improve your understanding of the trends shaping the North American biogas market.
  • Gain deeper insights into key trends and developments shaping the biogas market in the U.S. and Canada.

Program

We are assembling an exciting program built around input from the participating Danish companies. We will develop the program in close coordination with the participating companies and look forward to tailoring it to your particular solutions and objectives.

We anticipate this program will include:

  • Meetings and visits to participating companies’ offices and facilities
  • On-site tours at Danish companies and biogas plants.
  • Opportunities to present your innovative, efficient, value-enhancing technologies and solutions to potential customers and partners from North America.
  • Interactive discussions on how Danish technologies and best practices can be implemented in the context of the North American biogas sector.

Price

The total price for participation in this Fact Finding trip to Denmark is DKK 15,900 for one representative per company. Price for an extra participant is DKK 1,800 (max one). (Price may change depending on the number of participating Danish companies).

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 8 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark.
If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply, if you do not wish to receive subsidy.
