Zimbabwe is open for your business:
Business Delegation to Zimbabwe in conjunction with the African-Nordic Foreign Ministers Meeting
The Danish Agriculture & Food Council in partnership with Access2innovation, Afrika Consultancy and the Danish Representation in Zimbabwe are pleased to invite your company to participate in this 2025 delegation to Zimbabwe in conjunction with the African-Nordic Foreign Ministers Meeting.
Why Zimbabwe?
After many years of political and economic instability, Zimbabwe's agro-industrial and hospitality sector has been subject to significant progress and, therefore, once again represents interesting opportunities for Danish businesses. Since 2009 the country has experienced significant GDP growth, greater consideration to the needs of the business community and greater efforts to attract foreign investments. Most recently, Zimbabwe has worked to rejoin the Commonwealth, which helps to underpin political and economic stability.
There is a strong political desire for investment and efficiency improvements in horticulture, aquaculture, cattle breeding, crop cultivation (especially sugar sorghum, millet and tobacco) and a focus on developing the food processing industry. This development is also seen in other sectors such as tourism and hospitality, digital transformation, health and sanitations etc.
The agricultural sector is increasingly integrated with regional markets in Kenya, Botswana and Mozambique, but also international markets in Europe and North America.
What is unique about this mission?
The delegates will have an opportunity to meet and explore synergies with government representatives and industry organizations as well as one-on-one meeting with relevant commercial partners in Zimbabwe.
Moreover, the delegation trip will be arranged to coincide with the African-Nordic Foreign Ministers Meeting at the Victoria Falls and participants, who are interested, can take part in the business track, which runs parallel to the ministerial meeting.
Who should join?
The delegation is open to participation from companies working within the tech, hospitality and agribusiness industry, e.g.:
- Food production and food processing technology.
