Danish Agriculture and Food Production Delegation to Vietnam

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC) and the Danish Embassy in Vietnam invite you to participate in an export delegation to Vietnam with a focus on agriculture and food production. The delegation visit will take place in and around the city of Ho Chi Minh. The agriculture and food sector is one of the key contributors to Vietnam's economy. With GDP growth reaching 8.02% in 2025 and the annual ambitious targets of 10% set for the period of 2026 - 2030, agricultural development stands as a primary growth driver. Agri-food exports are projected to reach USD 70 billion in 2025, underscoring the sector's robust trajectory. Vietnam's participation in 17 free trade agreements is unlocking significant export opportunities while simultaneously elevating compliance requirements in food safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability. To meet these enhanced standards, there is a growing demand for advanced technologies and sustainable solutions across the agri-food sector. Within the dairy sector for example, the Vietnamese government's strategic plan focuses on large-scale, technologically advanced dairy farms, and enhanced quality standards, all of which require sophisticated equipment and sustainable innovations. In addition, the government has also set ambitious goals to modernize its pig sector by 2030, aiming to shift from small-scale, fragmented farming to large-scale, industrial, and high-tech production. Denmark is well positioned to offer both solutions and products to the Vietnamese agri-food sector, and the delegation visit will give the participating companies an opportunity to present their products, equipment and solutions directly to key stakeholders in Vietnam.

• Arrival in Ho Chi Minh.
• Briefing by the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
• Informal get-together by company representatives in the late afternoon/early evening.

Tuesday, 29 September 2026 in Ho Chi Minh (Day 2)

• Meetings with local authorities and industry organisation representatives.
• Tailored business forum seminar between the Danish delegation and Vietnamese companies.
  - Welcome speech by the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam.
  - Presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  - Presentations by and introductions to the local Vietnamese companies.
• Networking reception incl. participation of Vietnamese customers, stakeholders, and potential partners.

Wednesday, 30 September 2026 in or around Ho Chi Minh (Day 3)

• Company visits, farm and/or factory visits in Ho Chi Minh City and neighbouring provinces with participating Danish companies divided into two parallel tracks (to be confirmed based on the final list of participating companies).

Thursday, 1 October 2026 in or around Ho Chi Minh (Day 4)

• Company visits, farm and/or factory visits in Ho Chi Minh City and neighbouring provinces with participating Danish companies divided into two parallel tracks (to be confirmed based on the final list of participating companies).

Friday, 2 October 2026 in or around Ho Chi Minh (Day 5)

• Company visits, farm and/or factory visits in Ho Chi Minh City and neighbouring provinces with participating Danish companies divided into two parallel tracks (to be confirmed based on the final list of participating companies).
• End of programme in the afternoon and evaluation by the Danish Embassy and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
• Opportunity to depart Ho Chi Minh Friday evening.

Price

The total price for participation in the export delegation to Vietnam is 17,500 DKK excl. flight, hotel, and VAT per company for one representative after deduction of 50% subsidy from The Trade Council. The price for an extra representative is 3,000 DKK per person.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.

• Arranged company and site visits tailored to the final group of participating Danish companies.
• Transportation in Vietnam throughout the entire programme (excluding flights).
• Networking reception with relevant potential customers, local authorities and industry associations.
• Opportunity for each company to invite up to 5 guests for the seminar and networking reception.
• Assistance from the Danish Embassy and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council during the visit.
