Danish Food and Beverage Delegation Visit to Hong Kong

Join us on this export delegation visit to Hong Kong to explore your opportunities in this fast-paced and vibrant market, where the strong consumer purchasing power, and a still stronger demand for high-quality, safe and health-oriented F&B products create obvious opportunities for Danish companies. The Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC), the Embassy of Denmark in Beijing and Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou invite you to participate in an export delegation visit to Hong Kong with a focus on Danish food and beverage (F&B) products. During this visit, participating companies will be given multiple opportunities to engage and interact with key companies, buyers and regulatory authorities of relevance to the Hong Kong F&B market, with view to enable participants to explore and maximize business opportunities in this interesting F&B market.

  • Danish companies engaged in the food and beverage industry including but not limited to producers of:
  • Bakery, pastry, snacks and confectionary.
  • Beverages (water, soft drinks, drinks mixers and alcoholic beverages etc.).
  • Organic products.
  • Plant-based products.
  • Health and sports-oriented products.
  • Nutritional and dietary supplements.
  • Ingredients and biosolutions for the food and beverage industries.
  • Other products within or for the F&B category.

Programme 12-15 January 2026


Monday, 12 January 2026 in Hong Kong (Day 1)

  • Arrival in Hong Kong and briefing by the DAFC.
  • Informal voluntary get-together for delegation participants in the afternoon/evening.

Tuesday, 13 January 2026 in Hong Kong (Day 2)

  • Programme introduction by the Danish Embassy Beijing/Consulate General Guangzhou.
  • Meeting with local authorities and representatives of relevant industry organisations to gain a deeper understanding of the market and the regulatory requirements for export of F&B products to Hong Kong.
  • Tailored “Meet the Buyers” session between the delegation and potential customers and partners.
    -     Tables with product displays and brochures.
    -     Welcome remarks by the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
    -     Short pitch introductions by the delegates from the Danish companies.
    -     Presentations by and introductions to the Hong Kong companies.
    -     Opportunity for individual B2B interactions between the companies.
  • Networking event, incl. participation of Hong Kong customers, stakeholders, and potential partners.
  • Individual meetings with potential clients can be continued in the evening.

Wednesday, 13 January 2026 in Hong Kong (Day 3)

  • 1st Company visit/meeting with a major player* in the Hong Kong F&B industry.
    -     Pitch presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  • 2nd Company visit/meeting with a major player* in the Hong Kong F&B industry.
    -     Pitch presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  • *Company visit/meeting may be with a F&B importer or retailer, a major supermarket chain and/or e-commerce retailer.

Thursday, 14 January 2026 in Hong Kong (Day 4)

  • 3rd Company visit/meeting with a major player* in the Hong Kong F&B industry.
    -     Pitch presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  • Field visit to a major local supermarket chain.
  • Recap and end of programme in the afternoon by the Danish Embassy Beijing/Consulate General Guangzhou and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
  • Available time to continue individual meetings with potential clients in the evening.

Friday, 15 January 2026 in Hong Kong

  • Departure from Hong Kong late Thursday evening or Friday.

Price

The total price for participation in the export delegation visit to Hong Kong is 18,900 DKK excl. flight, hotel, and VAT per company for one representative after deduction of 50% subsidy from The Trade Council. The price for an extra representative is 3,000 DKK per person.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.

  • Networking event with identified customers and stakeholders.
  • Opportunity for each company to invite up to 3 guests for the networking event.
  • Tailored company/site visits with focus targeted to fit the final group of Danish companies.
  • General assistance from the Danish Embassy Beijing/Consulate General Guangzhou and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
