The Embassy of Denmark in Accra and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC) are excited to invite you to participate in a business delegation to Ghana focusing on solutions relevant for Feed Ghana programme and the development strategy driven by the 24 hours economy secretariat. The priorities of this delegation are centered around the outcomes of the high-level incoming delegation of public officials to Denmark in September 2025.

Ghana – A market with great ambitions for the food and agriculture sector

The business delegation aims to introduce you to the areas with businesses opportunities relevant to Danish expertise and solutions with concrete project proposal that Danish businesses can leverage on. Some of these areas are:

  • Investment and Financing Partnerships
  • Cold Chain and Post-Harvest Solutions
  • Livestock Sector Modernisation

Ghana seeks to increase the production of key crops, add value to its produce, reduce post-harvest losses in order to ensure food security, feed its current and new industries while improving farmers livelihood through increase revenue.

Why Ghana?

  • Ghana is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and enjoys political stability and safety.
  • In Ghana, there is a renewed drive and commitment to addressing post-harvest food loss and waste, a long-standing challenge in Ghana’s agricultural sector. Ghana continues to rely on food imports due to an underdeveloped food production and processing industry. 
  • A new Ghana Government initiative, “24-Hour Economy” intended to provide an enabling environment for business, is expected to among others, drive growth and promote productivity by modernising and mechanising agriculture, promote agro processing and manufacturing and provide incentives for companies to participate in the initiative. 
  • Ghana aims at strengthening its position as the gateway to the West African markets. It is a central economic hub with the most advanced and efficient port in West Africa and now also home to the secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area.

PROGRAMME
23-26 February 2026 – 2 days outside of Accra as relevant

Day 0: Sunday 22 February 2022 

  • Arrival in Accra
  • Check-in to Hotel

Day 1 – 23 February, 2026: Agric Logistics Africa – Exhibitions & Conference

  • Opening of Agric Logistics Africa
  • Participation in workshops & participation in panel discussions as agreed
  • Exhibitions visits

Day 2 – 24 February 24, 2026: Field visit 

  • Fish farm
  • Horticultural farm
  • Last Flight to Kumasi

Day 3 – February 25, 2026: Field visits (food processing, storage and cold chain)

  • Food processing company
  • Academia and business collaboration in livestock (poultry & dairy)
  • Last flight to Accra

Day 4 – February 26, 2026: Roundtable

  • Presentation by Danish companies of their solutions and expertise relevant for Ghana 
  • Presentations by relevant committees of project proposals that require Danish expertise and solutions
  • Speed dating with committees with relevant project proposals
  • Agriculture financing and deep dive into identified projects and businesses

Price

The total price for participation in the business delegation to Ghana is 9,500 DKK per company for one representative. Extra representative 2,300 DKK per person.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 75 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark.
If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply, if you do not wish to receive subsidy.

Hotel and travel information

Own travel (flight, taxi, train, etc.), VAT, hotel, and insurance are not included in the price. Upon registration, you will receive more details regarding the hotel.

Please register at the top of this site no later than 21 December 2025.

Registration is made in accordance with DAFC’s terms of participation.
