Take part in the 2026 Fact Finding Trip to Denmark from 12-16 October 2026.
We are happy to welcome a North American delegation to Denmark for a fact-finding visit centered on Danish strengths in biogas and waste management. The program is designed to bring together representatives from project developers, EPCs, utilities, and other relevant companies from across the U.S. for site visits, company meetings, and dialogue with Danish industry actors.
The North American biogas market is estimated to be less than 15% developed, and supportive policy frameworks continue to drive investments in order meet the growing demand for energy. Danish technologies and operational know-how remain highly regarded in the U.S., creating a strong foundation for deeper collaboration.
For Danish companies active across the biogas value chain, the 2026 Waste Management & Biogas Delegation is a great opportunity to boost sales efforts and build a strong network, position your solutions, and engage directly with North American stakeholders.
Who should participate?
Danish companies working within waste management (municipal, commercial, agricultural) and biogas production, including:
- Biogas project developers
- Providers of biogas upgrading and gas cleaning technologies
- Suppliers of tank stirring systems, sensors, and related process equipment
- Software providers and feedstock / inventory management systems
- Feedstock pre-treatment technology providers
- Engineering and design specialists
- Financiers and investors
- Other companies seeking to connect with North American stakeholders in waste management and biogas
Your benefits from participating
By joining the delegation, Danish companies will have the opportunity to:
- Engage directly with North American stakeholders across the waste management and biogas value chains, laying the groundwork for future commercial collaboration and mutually beneficial partnerships in the future.
- Present your technologies and solutions and demonstrate how they contribute to Denmark’s position as a global leader in biogas and biomethane production—and how these solutions can support continued development in North America.
- Participate in discussions on opportunities and practical pathways for implementation of Danish solutions in a North American context.
Program
The delegation program will be developed in close collaboration with participating Danish companies. We will work directly with you to ensure that the agenda reflects your solutions, priorities, and target audiences.
To ensure the strongest possible alignment, participating companies are strongly encouraged to contribute input to the recruitment and outreach of U.S. participants as well as to their own involvement in the program. Your insights and networks can help shape this trip.
While the final program will be shaped together with the participating companies and confirmed stakeholders, it is expected to include:
- Meetings and visits to participating companies’ offices and facilities
- On-site tours at Danish companies and biogas plants.
- Opportunities to present your innovative, efficient, value-enhancing technologies and solutions to potential customers and partners from North America.
- Interactive discussions on how Danish technologies and best practices can be implemented in the context of the North American biogas sector.
Price
The total price for participation in this Fact Finding trip to Denmark is DKK 17,985 per company for 1 participant (price may change depending on the number of participating Danish companies). Price for an extra participant is DKK 1,800 (max 3 participants per company in total).
NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.
We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.
NOTE: The price is based on 8 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark.
If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply, if you do not wish to receive subsidy.
