Be part of hosting a delegation from Canada to Denmark 
from 23-27 November 2026!

The Danish Trade Council in North America, in cooperation with Danish Agriculture & Food Council, will be welcoming a Canadian biogas delegation to Denmark centred around Agromek – Northern Europe's largest agricultural trade show, which takes place every two years at MCH Messecenter Herning – to bring together the full agricultural value chain.

Agriculture and biogas are closely connected sectors: manure, crop residues, and other agricultural by-products form a core feedstock base for biogas and RNG production, making the agricultural sector a natural entry point for Danish biogas technology and expertise. In connection with this year's exhibition, we are bringing a Canadian delegation to Denmark for a visit focused on Danish strengths in biogas and agricultural technology and innovation. The program is designed to bring together representatives from farmers, EPC's, plant operators, developers, and relevant organizations from across Canada for exhibition visits, dialogue with Danish companies, and off-site visits.

Canadian agricultural sector

Canada's agriculture and agri-food system creates 2.3 million jobs and contributes $143 billion to Canada's GDP, accounting for roughly 7.4% of the overall economy. The sector is built on more than 62 million hectares of agricultural land, concentrated primarily across the Prairies and Southern Ontario, with canola, cattle and calves, milk, wheat, and hogs ranking among the top commodities by farm cash receipts. This scale combined with a strong existing base of manure, crop residues, and food processing by-products provides the structural foundation for biogas and RNG feedstock supply across the country.

Canadian biogas/RNG sector

Canada's biogas and RNG sector comprises nearly 300 operating projects, which together produced more than 32 PJ of low-carbon energy and processed over 2 million tonnes of organic waste in 2024. The sector spans from agricultural, municipal, industrial, wastewater, and landfill feedstocks, yet Canada currently utilizes only a fraction of its total biogas and RNG feedstock potential, leaving substantial room for future growth.

Policy momentum continues to build federal mechanisms such as the Clean Fuel Regulations support RNG credit generation. With nearly 30 RNG projects currently under development nationwide, Canada's RNG production could increase approximately four-fold by 2028 compared to current levels.

• Suppliers of tank stirring systems, sensors, and related process equipment

• Feedstock pre-treatment technology providers

• Software providers and feedstock / inventory management systems

• Other companies seeking to connect with Canadian stakeholders in agriculture and biogas

Program

The delegation program will be developed in close collaboration with participating Danish companies. We will work directly with you to ensure that the agenda reflects your solutions, priorities, and target audiences. 
While the final program will be shaped together with the participating companies and confirmed stakeholders, it is expected to include:

• Visit the Agromek exhibition floors across relevant sectors

• Meetings at participating companies' stands and facilities

• Opportunities to present your technologies and solutions to potential customers and partners from Canada

• Interactive discussions on how Danish agricultural technologies and best practices can be implemented in a Canadian context

• On-site tours at Danish companies and biogas plants.

Price

The total price for participation in this Fact-Finding Trip to Denmark is DKK 16,985 per company for 1 participant, based on 7 companies.

Price for an extra participant is DKK 1,800 (max 3 participants per company in total).

Please note that admission tickets to Agromek for the Danish companies are not included in the price and must be arranged separately by each participating company.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark.
If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply, if you do not wish to receive subsidy.
