Danish Agriculture and Food Production Delegation to Egypt

The Embassy of Denmark in Cairo and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC) invite you to participate in an export delegation to Egypt focusing on Danish solutions along the value chain for agriculture and food production. With around 110 million people with an average age of 24, Egypt is the largest consumer goods market in the Middle East. The demand for food products is high and expected to rise in the coming years due to recent series of economic reforms. Egypt has several trade agreements like the EU-Egypt Association Agreement, a 2009 agreement between the EU and Egypt on liberalization of trade in agricultural and fisheries products, the Pan Arab Free Trade Area, COMESA, and many other bilateral agreements. The market for efficient agri-food solutions is growing in Egypt, and the local companies are constantly on the lookout for new technologies that can enhance production efficiencies along the value chain. All these factors boost the need for imported high valued solutions where Denmark is a potential partner. Egypt is also the only country in MENA that has signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Denmark, further helping position Denmark and Danish solutions at the forefront. The Danish Agriculture & Food Council and the Embassy of Denmark in Cairo are therefore planning a delegation to Egypt to maximize and explore your business opportunities in the market and to promote Danish equipment, efficiency solutions, and knowhow in Egypt.

• Briefing by the DAFC and informal get-together by company representatives.

Monday, 12 October 2026 in Cairo (Day 2)

• Programme introduction by the Embassy of Denmark in Egypt.
• Meeting with relevant Egyptian stakeholders.
• Tailored B2B seminar session between the Danish delegation and Egyptian companies.
  - Welcome speech by the Economic Counsellor at the Danish Embassy.
  - Welcome remarks by the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.
  - Presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  - Presentations by and introductions to the Egyptian companies.
• Networking reception for seminar participants.
• Opportunity for each company to invite up to five guests for the seminar and networking reception.

Tuesday, 13 October 2026 in Cairo (Day 3)

• Meetings with local Egyptian stakeholders in Cairo throughout the day.
• Standing networking dinner at the Ambassador´s Residence including participation of Egyptian customers, authorities, and potential partners.

Wednesday, 14 October 2026 outside Cairo (Day 4)

• Site visit(s) to a farm and/or other local production facility outside Cairo.
• Recap and end of programme by the Danish Embassy and the DAFC.
• Opportunity to depart Cairo late Wednesday evening.

Price

The total price for participation in the export delegation to Cairo (Egypt) is 7,750 DKK excl. transport, hotel, and VAT per company for one representative after deduction of 75% subsidy from The Trade Council. The price for an extra representative is 2,000 DKK per person.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 75 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.

• Transportation in Egypt throughout the entire programme (excluding flights).
• Seminar with identified potential customers and stakeholders.
• Networking reception for seminar participants.

• Opportunity for each company to invite up to 5 guests for the seminar and networking reception.
