Would you like to be co-hosting an agricultural delegation from England to Denmark from 24-27 November 2026?
The Royal Danish Embassy in London will gather a group of stakeholders from the agricultural sector in England to visit Denmark in connection with Agromek 2026. Participants will especially come from the dairy sector but participants from other sectors including arable farmers and agricultural innovation companies are expected to participate. Their programme will consist of the following elements:
- Meeting and visit at Agromek 2026
- Seminar with company presentations at Agromek 2026
- Meetings and visits to Danish companies’ offices and facilities
- On-site tours at Danish companies and/or farmers who have implemented your equipment/solutions
By being part of the delegation’s visit, you can be one of their visits, which will put English farmers and agricultural innovation companies right on your doorstep for you to:
- to present your innovative, efficient, value-enhancing technologies and solutions to potential customers and partners from England
- participate in interactive discussions on how Danish technologies and best practices can be implemented in the context of the English agricultural sector with a special emphasis on the dairy and arable sector.
You will also be able to be part of the delegation’s programme in general in order to get closer to the participants.
The Market Overview
Farming profitability and productivity and animal welfare are major topic for English dairy farmers. Climate change contributes to more unstable weather conditions with heat stress being an increasing problem alongside challenges to feed production. The concentration of dairy production in the West and arable production in the East of England poses a separate problem, as there’s a surplus of slurry in the West.
There is a stern focus on delivering on sustainability right from the farmers to the processors to the retailers. For Arla farmers it is interesting to invest in technologies that can support their commitments in the Arla FarmAhead programme. Equally other major dairies have initiated programmes that promote the adoption of greener technologies on farm often in cooperation with major retailers as Tescos. The same applies to arable farmers where profitability is a key driver for making investments but supported by public grants there is an interest in new greener solutions also in this sector.
Average milk yield per cow is 8.278 litres per cow per year – but this covers quite some variation with the best English farmers being on par with Danish dairy producers. This provides an excellent opportunity for Danish companies to present solutions within dairy technology, manure handling, cooling technologies, feeding technologies, automation and green energy.
By participating as a host, you will not only have the chance to showcase your products and services but also to forge strategic partnerships and gain valuable insights into the needs and preferences of English farmers and key stakeholders in the industry. Connect with top dairy farmers supplying major English dairies and creameries, arable farmers and representatives from the agricultural innovation ecosystem in the UK.
