Danish Pig Farming Delegation to Taiwan

Join the business delegation to Taiwan with the DAFC.

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council and the Trade Council of Denmark in Taipei invite you to participate in an export delegation to Taiwan with a focus on Danish solutions for the pig farming industry.

The key drivers for investment in advanced and green solutions are:

  • Taiwan government’s goal is to reach net zero emission for agriculture production by 2040. Significant amount of budget is allocated to support the net zero initiative.

  • Strict environmental regulations and the public demand for clean neighborhood nearby the farms. High demand for solutions for reducing farm waste, odor, and wastewater treatment. Farmers need to pay a fee to get rid of pig manure and bedding material of poultry farm and it is expensive.

  • The sector faces labour shortage, and it is difficult to attract people to work in the farms. The industry is keen to introduce automotive and smart farming solutions. The Taiwanese government provides subsidies to farmers for relevant investment.

This opens the door for solutions related to production optimization, technology, and smarter supply chains. For companies that can bring strong technical know-how and practical solutions, there is a genuine opportunity to contribute and build a position. Danish companies are well positioned to offer both solutions and products to the Taiwanese pig industry, and the delegation visit will give the participating companies an opportunity to obtain market knowledge and present their products, equipment and solutions directly to key stakeholders on Taiwan.
