Danish Agri-Food Production Delegation to Pakistan

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council and the Danish Embassy in Pakistan invite you to participate in an export delegation to Lahore (Pakistan) with a focus on agriculture and food production. Pakistan's dairy, poultry and food processing sectors offer great market opportunities for Danish technology providers. As the world's fourth-largest milk producer (63M tonnes/year), Pakistan's dairy industry remains largely informal with minimal cold chain coverage creating direct demand for Danish automated milking, bulk cooling, quality assurance and herd management solutions. The poultry sector, supplying over 40% of national protein, is scaling rapidly but constrained by inefficient feed conversion and biosecurity risks. Danish expertise in climate-controlled housing, precision feeding, automated processing and veterinary diagnostics can address these bottlenecks directly. Food processing suffers 30-40% post-harvest losses and energy deficits. Danish solutions in sustainable processing equipment, cold chain logistics, waste valorization and food safety certification are urgently needed as Pakistan aligns with international export standards. A Danish delegation would position our companies at the forefront of Pakistan's agri-food modernization, converting Denmark's leadership in sustainable food systems into concrete commercial partnerships across a 240-million-consumer market.

Danish companies are well positioned to offer both solutions and products to the Pakistani agri-food industry, and the delegation visit will give the participating companies an opportunity to obtain market knowledge and present their products, equipment and solutions directly to key stakeholders in Pakistan.

• Arrival in Lahore (Pakistan).

• Briefing by the Embassy of Denmark in Pakistan and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.

• Informal get-together by company representatives in the late afternoon/early evening.

Tuesday, 6 April 2027 in Lahore (Day 2)

• Meetings with local authorities and industry organisation representatives.

• Tailored business forum seminar between the Danish delegation and Pakistani companies.
  - Welcome speech by the Embassy of Denmark in Pakistan.
  - Presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  - Presentations by and introductions to the local Pakistani companies.

• Networking reception for business forum participants incl. participation of Pakistani customers, local authorities, and potential partners.

Wednesday, 7 April 2027 in and around Lahore (Day 3)

• Company visit 1 in and around Lahore (to be based on the final group of participating Danish companies).

• Company visit 2 in and around Lahore (to be based on the final group of participating Danish companies).

• Company visit 3 in and around Lahore (to be based on the final group of participating Danish companies).

Thursday, 8 April 2027 in and around Lahore (Day 4)

• Transport.

• Visits to farms/factories/other production facilities in and around Lahore throughout the day.

• Transport back to Lahore.

• Networking dinner.

Friday, 9 April 2027 in and around Lahore (Day 5)

• Company visits, farm and/or factory visits in Lahore (to be confirmed based on the final list of participating companies).

• End of programme in the afternoon and evaluation by the Danish Embassy and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.

• Opportunity to depart Lahore Friday evening.

Price

The total price for participation in the export delegation to Pakistan is 15,750 DKK excl. flight, hotel, and VAT per company for one representative after deduction of 50% subsidy from The Trade Council. The price for an extra representative is 3,000 DKK per person.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.
