Danish Agri-Food Production Delegation to Saudi Arabia

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council and the Danish Embassy in Riyadh invite you to participate in an export delegation to Saudi Arabia with a focus on agriculture and food production. The target market is evolving quickly, largely driven by Saudi Vision 2030 and its strong focus on food security and increasing local production. This is supported by government investment, rising demand, and a push to reduce dependence on imports. Saudi Arabia already produces more dairy than it consumes, which shows how developed the sector is. That said, there is still room to grow - especially when it comes to improving efficiency, sustainability, and moving further into higher-value products. This opens the door for solutions related to production optimization, technology, and smarter supply chains. Poultry is one of the fastest-growing protein segments, and the country has clear ambitions to increase local production. With strong demand and ongoing investments, there are real opportunities in scaling production, improving feed and biosecurity, and strengthening processing and distribution. Overall, Saudi Arabia is a market that is not only growing, but also actively looking for expertise and partnerships. For companies that can bring strong technical know-how and practical solutions, there is a genuine opportunity to contribute and build a position. Saudi Arabia currently imports the vast majority of its national food demand and in order to become increasingly self-reliant, Saudi Arabia has steered towards increasing local food production.

Danish companies are well positioned to offer both solutions and products to the Saudi agri-food industry, and the delegation visit will give the participating companies an opportunity to obtain market knowledge and present their products, technologies, equipment and solutions directly to key stakeholders in Saudi Arabia.

• Arrival in Riyadh.

• Briefing in the afternoon by the Danish Embassy in Riyadh and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.

• Informal get-together by company representatives in the late afternoon/early evening.

Tuesday, 12 January 2027 in Riyadh (Day 2)

• Meetings with local authorities and industry organisation representatives.

• Tailored business forum seminar between the Danish delegation and Saudi companies.
  - Welcome speech by the Embassy of Denmark in Saudi Arabia.
  - Presentations by the delegates from the Danish companies.
  - Presentations by and introductions to the local Saudi companies.

• Networking reception incl. participation of Saudi customers, stakeholders, and potential partners.

Wednesday, 13 January 2027 in Riyadh (Day 3)

• Company visit 1 in Riyadh (to be based on the final group of participating Danish companies).

• Company visit 2 in Riyadh (to be based on the final group of participating Danish companies).

• Company visit 3 in Riyadh (to be based on the final group of participating Danish companies).

Thursday, 14 January 2027 in Riyadh (Day 4)

• Site visits in and around Riyadh (to be confirmed based on the final list of participating companies).

• End of programme in the afternoon and evaluation by the Danish Embassy and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.

Price

The total price for participation in the export delegation to Saudi Arabia is 19,000 DKK excl. flight, hotel, and VAT per company for one representative after deduction of 50% subsidy from The Trade Council. The price for an extra representative is 3,000 DKK per person.

NOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can, if relevant, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address.

We reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa, flights, dining & drink and hotel.

NOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies, who are all eligible for subsidy, and 50 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. If your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years, including the present), you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply if you do not wish to receive subsidy.

• Transportation in Saudi Arabia throughout the entire programme (excluding flights).

• Assistance from the Danish Embassy and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council during the visit.
